Christina Kang-Yun selected for the Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship

Environmental Engineering PhD candidate Christina Kang-Yun has been selected to receive the Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship for her dissertation research titled “Characterization of the genetics of metal regulation in methanotrophs”. Her research objective is to delineate the genetics underlying metal uptake in methane-oxidizing bacteria in order to fully utilize them for environmental and medical applications.

The Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship is a prestigious award granted by the Rackham Graduate School, and supports outstanding doctoral students who have achieved candidacy and are actively working on dissertation research and writing that are unusually creative, ambitious and impactful.
